Ashley House In Framework Deal With North Yorkshire County Council

21st Sep 2015 15:15

LONDON (Alliance News) - Ashley House PLC Monday said it has noted the movement in its share price and confirmed that it has been invited to be a framework partner by the North Yorkshire County Council to provide accommodation for people with health and social care needs.

Shares in Ashley House were trading up 18% at 11.425 pence Monday afternoon.

The health and social care property company said that the framework agreement provides it and five other parties the opportunity to bid for contracts offered by the North Yorkshire County Council, but that there is no guarantee that it will be awarded any of the contracts.

The North Yorkshire County Council intends to commission partners from the Extra Care Housing Framework to design, fund, build, manage and operate the schemes. If commissioned, Ashley House would work on the multi-million pound initiative to bring Extra Care accommodation to major towns in North Yorkshire.

"Final contracts are expected to be in place by the end of September, at which time the County Council will start to use the framework to seek new Extra Care opportunities. We are delighted to be invited to be a partner on the framework to provide such important facilities for some of the most vulnerable in society," Ashley House Chief Executive Antony Walters said in a statement.
