(Alliance News) - Ashley House PLC on Tuesday said it is exploring financing options amid returning its focus to the health & wellbeing and affordable housing sectors.
Ahead of its annual general meeting, the health and housing property company said it is actively exploring modular focused affordable housing with a number of housing providers.
The move follows Ashley House's announcement in mid-November, when the company had said it was revising its strategy to focus on returning to its core strength of developing property schemes in the health & wellbeing sector.
"Despite having completed a significant overhead reduction, Ashley House has retained a highly knowledgeable, experienced and dedicated team, and the directors believe that this, together with the company's 28 year record of delivering schemes from site-finding to completion, will provide the company with a solid platform from which to deliver this strategy," said Chair Christopher Lyons.
He added: "The company is currently exploring financing options to ensure it has the available resources to sustainably deliver these opportunities."
In addition, Ashley House said it has appointed Paul Williamson as head of Modular & managing director for F1 Modular Ltd. Williamson will join the business at the beginning of January 2020, the company said.
He has preciously served as managing director at Nu Build, the modular construction arm of Swan Housing.
The stock was untraded in London on Tuesday afternoon, last closing at 2.55 pence a share.
