3rd Nov 2015 08:56

LONDON (Alliance News) - Artilium PLC on Tuesday said it has signed a contract with European mobility provider FlixBus, through Artilium's subsidiary United Telecom, to provide mobile Wi-Fi access in all of FlixBus's buses in Belgium.

The telecommunication software provider said United Telecom will provide dedicated mobile 4G cards that enable Wi-Fi access for customers using FlixBus buses in Belgium.

"Providing Wifi access in our buses provides comfort and service to our customers and is essential for providing a comfortable environment to our passengers. The mobile access delivered by United Telecom gives us high-speed internet access with control on the overall cost of providing the service," Felix Jandel, team leader of Bus Products at FlixBus, said in a statement.

"United Telecom is expanding its range of offerings into the business market to create specific offers geared to the needs of business customers in Belgium in fixed and mobile communications. This contract with FlixBus is a perfect example of the flexibility and attractiveness of United Telecom's offering," Artilium said.

Shares in Artilium were trading up 2.8% at 5.45 pence Tuesday morning.
