LONDON (Alliance News) - Telecommunications software company Artilium PLC said Tuesday that it has acquired Belgian voice-over-internet-protocol telecom operator SpeakUp BV for GBP233,600 in cash and shares.
It will pay GBP28,600 in cash, and will issue 3.4 million Artilium shares at 6 pence each.
Shares in Artilium are trading flat at 6.00 pence Tuesday morning.
SpeakUp generated an operating profit of EUR13,626 for 2014, on revenue of EUR200,332. Artilium said the acquisition will provide it with a competitive offering in a growing segment of the market.
"With the acquisition of SpeakUp we are combining next-generation technology with proven telecommunication solutions to create exciting new products and services in the strongly growing Business market," said Chief Executive Officer Bart Weijermars in a statement.
