Artemis Resources says Lulu Creek prospect cleared for drilling

23rd Oct 2024 14:15

Artemis Resources Ltd on Wednesday said its Lulu Creek prospect in Western Australia has been cleared for drilling following the completion of heritage and ethnographic surveys.

The Australia-focused mineral exploration company said the drilling will target potential intrusive related gold systems.

Artemis noted that previous shallow drilling in 2020 and 2023 intersected several anomalous gold zones.

The planned drilling is co-funded by a government grant from the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation & Safety.

Executive Director George Ventouras commented: "We are excited that we are close to drilling the targets at the Lulu Creek prospect. The pathway to obtaining clearance was a long but successful one, and we are very pleased to have the support of the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation to undertake this activity. We are looking forward to getting the drill rig spinning and will keep the market updated as to our progress."

Artemis on Tuesday posted strong quarterly performances from its Karratha gold and lithium projects and Osborne joint venture lithium project.

The company noted that its Titan prospect at the Karratha gold project delivered high-grade rock chip assay results of greater than 10,000 grams of gold per tonne.

Artemis shares were up 0.6% at 0.70 pence in London on Wednesday afternoon.
