(Alliance News) - Artemis Resources Ltd on Monday said it has started a diamond and reverse circulation programme to test gold exploration targets in the North Pilbara gold province in Australia.
The gold, copper and lithium focused mining company with projects in Western Australia said the drilling will test targets in a 4 kilometre zone around its 374,000 ounce inferred gold Carlow Mineral Resource.
There is no previous drilling at any of the three targets planned to be tested, despite proximity to the deposit, the company said.
Managing Director Julian Hanna said: "We are thrilled to announce the start of this diamond and RC drilling program which will test three high-potential targets within a 4km long zone centred on our Carlow Mineral Resource.
"We are excited about the opportunity this drilling presents to expand the Carlow resource and uncover further opportunities across our portfolio and look forward to updating the market on progress."
Artemis Resources shares climbed 5.9% to 0.45 pence in London on Monday morning.
