LONDON (Alliance News) - Arria NLG PLC said Tuesday it has signed a partnership agreement with International Business Machines Corp's IBM Watson Group.
Under the agreement Arria will create prototype analytics products for the oil and gas sector utilising its natural language generation technology. IBM's Watson is an "artificially intelligent" computer system, designed to process information in a more human way.
"We see strong commercial opportunity in the combination of IBM Watson's deep query functionality being combined with the Arria NLG Engine's ability to generate natural language and text," said Chairman and Chief Executive Stuart Rogers in a statement. "There are innumerable use cases in the oil and gas industry for our combined tool sets, which we look forward to pursuing with IBM Watson Group."
