LONDON (Alliance News) - Arria NLG PLC, whose core product is a form of artificial intelligence software, on Monday said its application for a US patent on its Method and Apparatus for Situational Analysis Text Generation will be granted.
The natural language generation company, which uses its core product to extract information from complex data sources and communicate it as if written by a person, issued the updated after receiving notice of the news from the US Patent and Trademark Office.
"Arria NLG continues to seek US patents on its key innovations in natural language generation. Our scientists' deep experience of the technology over the last 30 years informs and guides a rigorous process of identifying and defining the central component capabilities that will become standard elements in every advanced NLG system," Stuart Rogers, chairman and chief executive, said.
"Their foundational work brings a constant stream of potentially patentable innovations that are intended in the first instance to support the company's sales to enterprise clients as well as its forthcoming software toolkit and SaaS product offerings, but also could be licensed to others who want to be at the forefront of this technology," Rogers added.
Shares in Arria were up 9.9% at 29.95 pence on Monday morning.
