ARM Holdings Q4 Pretax Profit Declines

CAMBRIDGE (Alliance News) - ARM Holdings PLC reported that its fourth-quarter profit before tax declined to 12.2 million pounds, from 59.5 million pounds, prior year. Loss for the period was 6.2 million pounds or 0.4 pence per share, compared to profit of 42.5 million pounds or 3.0 pence per share, previous year. Loss per ADS was 2.2 cents, compared to profit of 14.8 cents, a year ago.

Normalized profit before tax increased to 95.5 million pounds, from 80.0 million pounds. Normalized earnings per share was 5.3 pence, compared to 4.1 pence, prior year.

Revenues were 189.1 million pounds, compared to 164.2 million pounds.

ARM Holdings PLC expects Group dollar revenues for the full year 2014 to be in line with market expectations.

The directors of ARM Holdings recommended payment of a final dividend in respect of 2013 of 3.6 pence pence per share, up 27%. Taken together with the interim dividend of 2.1 pence per share paid in October 2013, this gives a total dividend in respect of 2013 of 5.7 pence per share, an increase of 27% on the total dividend of 4.5 pence per share in 2012.
