CAMBRIDGE (Alliance News) - Chipmaker ARM Holdings PLC Monday reported that Sir John Buchanan is stepping down as Chairman, at his request, owing to medical condition. The board, after conducting a thorough search, has named Stuart Chambers today as Chairman designate, replacing Sir John Buchanan, on March 1, 2014.
Stuart Chambers is Chairman of Rexam PLC and a non-executive director of Tesco PLC. Until 2009, he was the Group Chief Executive of Nippon Sheet Glass Group which acquired Pilkington PLC in 2006, where he was Chief Executive.
Buchanan will retire from the board at the AGM on May 1, 2014.
