Arix Bioscience CEO Leaves Board To Become Investment Chief

4th Sep 2018 13:05

LONDON (Alliance News) - Arix Bioscience PLC on Tuesday said Chief Executive Joe Anderson has stepped down from the board with immediate effect but will not leave the company.

"Executive chairman of Arix, Jonathan Peacock, will assume corporate and operating responsibilities and, working closely with the board of Arix, will lead the process of recruiting a CEO," the life science company said.

Anderson, who has been CEO at Arix since 2016, leaves the board but will remain with the company as chief investment officer. He will also continue to chair Arix's investment committee.

"Arix group businesses are well placed to continue to progress towards key milestones; with GBP35.6 million net positive revaluations in the core portfolio, two initial public offerings already in 2018 and multiple clinical milestones expected over the next 18 months," said Arix.

Shares in Arix Bioscience were down 1.3% at 175.15 pence on Tuesday.
