LONDON (Alliance News) - Ariana Resources PLC on Wednesday said it has received positive drilling results from work on the Arzu Central area of its Kiziltepe gold mine in Turkey.
Drilling at Arzu has intercepted the widest zone of sulphidic quartz vein mineralisation ever encountered at Kiziltepe, Ariana saids. The best intercepts included gold grades of up to 2.4 grams per tonne and silver grades of up to 16.4 grams per tonne.
Preparations for the second phase of the 2016 drilling programme at the project are now complete, Ariana added.
"We are exceptionally pleased with these drilling results, as they collectively and unequivocally demonstrate the continuity of mineralisation within the Arzu Central target area," said Kerim Sener, Ariana's managing director.
Shares in Ariana were up 6.3% at 1.86 pence on Wednesday.
