LONDON (Alliance News) - Ariana Resources PLC on Friday said it has received encouraging results from the soil geochemical programme conducted at the Karakavak prospect at the Red Rabbit Gold Project in Turkey.
Ariana said the programme has identified five new discoveries in the Karakavak prospect area, doubling the number of drill targets. Ariana said the results underpin the broader resource potential at Red Rabbit.
"Following successful geochemical work undertaken in 2014, we expanded our soil geochemical programme to identify new target areas across Karakavak prospect. We have now more than doubled the number of drill targets and identified multiple new veins, which bodes well for future exploration of the Kiziltepe sector," said Managing Director Kerim Sener.
Ariana shares were up 6.6% to 1.07 pence on the news, having jumped to 1.14p earlier, one of the best performers in the AIM All-Share.
