LONDON (Alliance News) - Stockbroker Arden Partners PLC said Thursday it has appointed a new chairman and finance boss alongside a non-executive appointment amid a refresh of the board.
Mark Ansell was appointed as chairman of the AIM-listed firm with immediate effect. He has been serving as a non-executive at Arden since 2010, and assumed the role of interim chairman in May.
Another Arden insider, Steve Douglas, was promoted to become group finance director upon relevant regulatory approval being received. Douglas - a chartered accountant - has been at the firm since 2004, having joined the corporate finance team. In 2014, he became the head of the corporate finance unit.
"Steve has been part of the senior management team which has led the significant investments made across every department as the company has been restructured over the last 18 months," Arden explained in a statement.
In addition, fund manager Alistair Currie has been hired as non-executive director at Arden. Currie - also a chartered accountant - has managed the Castlefield BEST Sustainable UK Smaller Companies Fund since 2007.
"I am delighted to have been appointed chairman of the company and to welcome both Steve and Alistair to the board," Ansell said. "Their experience and knowledge will be invaluable to the company, and I look forward to working with them as we execute our growth strategy over the coming years."
Shares in Arden were untraded at 30.00 pence on Thursday.
