Arc Minerals Starts Drilling Programme On Zambian Copper Projects

12th Jun 2019 12:31

(Alliance News) - Arc Minerals Ltd said Wednesday it has started its 7,500 metre drilling programme on the Zamsort and Zaco copper projects in the Copperbelt province in Zambia.

The gold, cobalt and gold explorer has already appointed a local drilling contractor and two diamond drill rigs have started operations.

The programme will test the large Cheyeza anomaly as well as the Lumbeta and Muswema targets in addition to other targets generated through a geophysical survey and soil sampling programme.

"We are very excited about this drilling programme. Over the past year our technical team with the help of highly experienced external exploration consultants have completed a detailed geophysical survey and extensive soil sampling programme which has yielded some excellent results indicating that we may have a number of high-potential prospects within our Zamsort licence," said Executive Chair Nick von Schrinding.

Shares in Arc Minerals were down 2.1% at 2.30 pence on Wednesday.
