LONDON (Alliance News) - Arc Minerals Ltd on Tuesday said it has appointed Mumena Mushinge as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
The AIM-listed exploration company said Mushinge is the founder of Zamsort Ltd, has worked throughout his career in the mining industry in Zambia. He has been involved in a number of significant projects with local and international mining groups.
Zamsort owns and operates Kalaba copper and cobalt project in Zambia, which provides copper and cobalt mining and exploration services. In June last year, Arc Minerals took a controlling stake in Zamsort following the acquisition of a 6% interest from Terra Metals Ltd.
"I am pleased to welcome Mumena to the board of Arc Minerals," said Executive Chair Nick von Schirnding.
"Mumena brings a wealth of experience in respect of mining projects and operating in Zambia," added Nick von Schirnding.
Arc Minerals shares were trading 17% higher on Tuesday at 3.57 pence each.
