Aquila Services Annual Profit, Revenue Rises On Acquisition Growth

27th Jun 2019 12:33

(Alliance News) - Aquila Services Group PLC said Thursday its profit rose on revenue growth in its recently ended financial year, due to growth in Altair's housing consultancy.

The management consultancy services firm said its pretax profit for the year to the end of March rose to GBP609,497 from GBP524,478, on revenue that grew by 30% to GBP7.7 million from GBP5.9 million the year before.

Aquila said the rise in revenue reflected growth in support services provider Altair's housing consultancy, particularly through a contribution by pod LLP, a development and financial modelling services consultancy acquired in October 2017 for GBP1.7 million.

Aquila proposed a final dividend of 0.6 pence per share, bringing the total payout to 0.89p, up 10% from 0.81p the year before.

Looking ahead, Aquila Services said its outlook remains positive, as it expands its services and skill base to meet demands from key organisations in the UK economy.

However, the group cautioned on the outcome of Brexit, and the future political make-up, that will continue to exert pressure on growth in several industries.

Shares in Aquila Services Group were untraded on Thursday, last quoted at 33.00 pence.
