LONDON (Alliance News) - APR Energy PLC on Wednesday said it has struck a deal with Uruguayan state power company Usinas y Trasmisiones Eléctricas for the continuation of its 300 megawatt power generation project through to the end of 2015.
APR said the terms of the contract will include an agreement for the continued operation and support of 50 megawatt of legacy gas turbines, which are under option to purchase by the Usinas y Trasmisiones Eléctricas from APR Energy. APR is working through the process for sale and transfer of these two turbines, targeted for late 2015.
No financial details were disclosed on the new deal.
"UTE has been an outstanding long-term customer during the past three years, and our continued partnership is a reflection of the strong relationship we enjoy and the high quality of service we provide," said Chief Executive Laurence Anderson.
Shares in APR were up 13% to 126.44 pence on Wednesday, one of the best performers in the London Main Market.
