LONDON (Alliance News) - APR Energy PLC on Wednesday said it has secured a contract with the Botswana Power Corp to provide 35 megawatts of new power generation under a two-year deal.
Under the arrangement with the southern African country's state power company, APR will install and operate the fast-track, turnkey power plant adjacent to Botswana Power's existing 70 megawatt facility outside Francistown.
APR expects to commission the plant in the third quarter. No financial details on the deal were disclosed.
"We are honored to have been selected again by BPC, as it is a reflection of our commitment to operational excellence and BPC's satisfaction with the services we have provided during our years working together," said APR Chief Executive Laurence Anderson.
Shares in APR were up 2.6% to 359.00 pence on Wednesday morning.
