LONDON (Alliance News) - APR Energy PLC on Thursday said it has extended and expanded its interim power generation deal with Société Nationale d'Éléctricité du Sénégal, the Senegalese national utility company.
The agreement includes the installation and operation of an additional 48 megawatts of mobile diesel-powered generation, including assets APR will move from Libya, to supplement the existing 20 megawatts provided from APR's Kounoune site.
The deal will extend the expiry of the contract to the final quarter of this year, APR said.
APR has also announced it has extended its 40 megawatt mobile gas turbine project in Rocha Pinto in Angola through to late 2015.
No financial details were disclosed on the deals.
"The expansions in Senegal and Angola are a testament to the reliable power solutions that we offer, as well as another indication that our customers place great value on the operational excellence we bring to our projects," said Chief Executive Laurence Anderson.
APR shares were up 1.2% to 103.25 pence on Thursday, having risen earlier to 109.50p.
