APR Energy Secures Final Approval For Extension Of Uruguay Project

7th Sep 2015 07:13

LONDON (Alliance News) - Temporary power company APR Energy PLC on Monday said it has secured the final signature and government approval for the extension of its 250 megawatt power generation project in Uruguay.

It has signed the deal with Usinas y Trasmisiones Eléctricas, Uruguay's state power company, to extend the project to the end of the year.

"UTE has been an outstanding, long-term customer, and their decision to extend our projects five times is a reflection of the high quality of service we provide and the reliability of our technology," said APR Chief Executive Laurence Anderson.

"The decision by UTE underscores the fact that our fast-track mobile solutions are an ideal source of interim power during construction of permanent infrastructure," Anderson added.

APR shares were up 1.8% to 84.00 pence on Monday morning.
