LONDON (Alliance News) - APR Energy PLC Wednesday said it has signed extensions to its power generation contracts in Iraq and Angola, allowing the company to continue to provide power to local markets there.
In Iraq, APR Energy has secured a one-year extension which will expire in 2016, allowing its plant that comprises of six mobile gas turbines to continue to supply the local population in Basra, as well as supporting oil and gas, petrochemical and agricultural industries, it said.
In Angola, APR has secured a six-month extension to provide power to the capital and surrounding areas from its 40.0 megawatt mobile gas turbine plant located in the Rocha Pinto area near the capital Luanda.
As part of that extension, the state owned company Rede Nacional de Transporte, which purchased the power from APR to supply to communities, has reaffirmed its commitment to fulfil all past, present and future financial obligations, APR said.
APR Energy shares were down 0.2% to 170.0 pence per share on Wednesday.
