LONDON (Alliance News) - Mobile turbine power business APR Energy PLC Friday said it has promoted Brian Rich to be its new chief operating officer, a position in which he will help to combine the company's corporate and regional operations and business development resources under one umbrella.

In a statement, APR Energy said Rich will be responsible for all of its operations, business development, and marketing activities, reporting directly to President Laurence Anderson.

"Since joining APR Energy, Brian has driven the placement of over 2.5 gigawatts of new and renewal business," Chief Executive John Campion said in a statement. "His appointment as COO reflects the confidence we have in Brian to help us meet our growth objectives and achieve our strategic vision as a truly global, mature company."
