LONDON (Alliance News) - Electricity generation company APR Energy PLC on Friday said it has made progress on its projects in Botswana and Senegal.
APR said it has successfully completed the installation and commissioning of its two-year, 35 megawatt project for Botswana Power Corp and said it has expanded its existing project for Senelec in Senegal by 48 megawatts as it redeployed assets it recovered from Libya.
"I want to congratulate our installation and commissioning teams for demonstrating our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction by quickly bringing this new capacity on line," said Chief Executive Officer Laurence Anderson.
"These vital projects will help to raise the quality of life for people in Botswana and Senegal in a number of ways, such as supporting local medical facilities and schools," he added.
Shares in APR were up 2.2% to 106.00 pence early Friday.
