(Alliance News) - Applied Graphene Materials PLC said Wednesday it has launched a graphene primer into the mainstream UK customer market via motoring and cycling products retailer Halfords Group PLC.
The graphene material producer said the graphene primer will be sold within more than 465 stores under Halford's own brand.
The company also said that James Briggs Ltd has launched Hycote graphene anti-corrosion primer, which was developed in collaboration with Applied Graphene. The product is for sale on e-commerce marketplace Amazon.com Inc and through Tetrosyl Express, the supplier of car care, parts and accessories in the UK.
Adrian Potts, chief executive officer, said: "This is a landmark moment for AGM. The fact that a leading mainstream retailer is now advertising and selling a product with AGM's graphene in it, both online and in store, gives a clear signal of the confidence that paint formulators and their customers now have in the exceptional performance benefits and value opportunity, as well as the stability and long-term reliability, of our graphene products."
Applied Graphene shares were up 8.5% in London at 17.90 pence each on Wednesday.
