LONDON (Alliance News) - Irish petrol forecourt retailer Applegreen PLC on Friday said 2016 has started well in terms of trading and the development of the business.
The company, which floated in London in June last year, said overall trading in the first four months of 2016 was in line with its expectations following a positive start in Ireland and good growth in a competitive UK market.
Chairman Daniel Kitchen, speaking ahead of the company's annual general meeting, said the group has added 17 sites to its estate since the start of 2016, covering new outlets in Ireland, Northern Ireland and the UK.
"In summary, the board is very satisfied with the progress and performance of the business for the first four months of the year. This gives us confidence in our ability to meet our growth targets for 2016," Kitchen said.
