LONDON (Alliance News) - Apollo Management IX LP said Thursday it has added the London branch of Bank of America NA to a list of lenders in its RPC Group PLC bid.
The GBP3.32 billion bid was announced in January and will made through Rome UK Bidco Ltd, which was created on behalf of funds managed by Apollo Management IX.
The interim loan agreement for plastic packaging manufacturer RPC was arranged by a number of banks, including Barclays Bank PLC and HSBC Bank PLC. This agreement was restated on Thursday and now includes Bank of America NA, London branch as an interim arranger and interim lender.
Bank of America has also been added to the long-term loan for the acquisition of RPC, as both an arranger and as an underwriter.
Alongside the Apollo Management offer, RPC has also received some interest from Berry Global Group Inc. Berry Global has until Wednesday next week to make a firm offer for RPC or back down and allow Apollo Management to complete the acquisition.
RPC shares were up 0.1% at 796.60 pence on Thursday.
