APC Technology Wins Over GBP1.2 Million In LED Lighting Contracts

6th Jan 2016 08:37

LONDON (Alliance News) - APC Technology Group PLC said Wednesday that it has won several major LED lighting contracts totalling over GBP1.2 million, through its energy efficiency technologies business Minimise Energy.

APC Technology will announce its results for the year to end-August 2015 on Friday, which it described as a "difficult year", however, it cited the new orders as indicative of the progress it has made since the end of the year through the implementation of its operational review.

The contracts include a deal with Imtech Inviron Ltd to install energy efficient LED lighting at 18 London Fire Brigade fire stations, as well as a contract with existing client Royal Mail PLC to install LED lighting at five new sites.

"I am very pleased to be able to start the New Year with further contract successes for the group. It is particularly pleasing that these orders are in our refocused and restructured LED business and follow on from those announced in our Water and Distribution divisions before the Christmas break," said Chief Executive Richard Hodgson in a statement.

"As previously announced, the year to August 2015 was a difficult year for the group, which the full year results announcement will bring closure to. With the great progress that we have made since then, through the implementation of our operational review and in the business retained and new business won, we are starting 2016 full of confidence," Hodgson added.

Shares in APC were up 9.7% at 10.01 pence Wednesday morning.
