LONDON (Alliance News) - APC Technology Group PLC said that it had made a good start to the new financial year and expressed confidence for further progress, in a statement ahead of its annual general meeting Friday.
The company said that the improved trading conditions that it had seen in the second half of 2013 in its electronics components distribution businesses had continued.
The company has secured a number of contracts in its electronic components business. In its Minimise Energy business, it saw healthy growth as it increased customer numbers, and it continued its partnership with Wm Morrison Supermarkets PLC.
Its investment in Invisible Systems Ltd had won new customers, APC said. APC has a 25% interest in the monitoring and control software and services company.
APC said it continued to make progress in expanding its product range.
The company has been breaking into North American, and said that it had won small, initial contract wins in that market. Although it does not expect a significant contribution from North America, it said it was confident that it held "substantial potential".
Shares in APC were trading up 5.5% at 58.55 pence Friday morning.
