APC Technology Creates New Subsidiary, Appoints Unit Managing Director

21st Jan 2015 10:13

LONDON (Alliance News) - APC Technology Group PLC Wednesday said it has created a new wholly-owned subsidiarity called Minimise Generation Ltd, which will serve as the group's on-site renewable generation offering, including cost-saving heat pumps.

The technology and services firm also said it has appointed Andrew Shortis to its board, as managing director of Minimise Holdings Ltd, the holding company for APC's sustainability-related businesses.

"Shortis brings with him a wealth of energy, environmental and corporate finance experience, particularly in the fields of energy-efficiency, renewable energy, and demand side management," the company said in a statement.

APC Technology said the new subsidiary will serve as its on-site renewable generation offering, alongside Minimise Energy, Minimise Water, Minimise Solutions and Minimise Finance. It said Minimise Generation will offer photovoltaic thermal panel technology as well as other renewable technologies, including heat pumps for use on-site.

"The board is pleased to report that good progress continues to be made in all areas of the business, including the relationship with the UK's largest logistics company, Royal Mail Group PLC," the company said.

Royal Mail commissioned APC Technology late last year to help identify energy reduction opportunities across Royal Mail's highest energy-consuming sites within its estate.

The company said it will announce its results for the financial year to end-August on January 22.

APC Technology shares were trading 5.3% lower mid-morning Wednesday at 24.15 pence.
