LONDON (Alliance News) - Chilean miner Antofagasta PLC said on Wednesday it has appointed Michael Anglin as non-executive director with effect from Wednesday next week.
Angling is currently chair of Toronto-listed precious metals miner SSR Mining Inc, and his most recent role was at peer BHP Group PLC as vice president of operations.
"Together with the board, I am very pleased that Mike has accepted our invitation to join the board. His comprehensive mining expertise and extensive experience in developing and constructing large-scale mines in the Americas will be of great benefit to the company over the coming years," said Chair Jean-Paul Luksic.
Shares in Antofagasta were down 2.2% at 953.80 pence each on Wednesday.
