LONDON (Alliance News) - Angus Energy PLC on Wednesday said it expects operations at the Brockham oil field, in the Weald basin in southern England, to begin on or around April 12.
Angus shares were trading up 6.4% at 5.80 pence each early Wednesday.
Angus, which is the operator of the PL 235 Brockham licence, where it has a majority interest, had previously expected rig mobilisation to the well around mid-April.
"We are pleased to be able to evidence our commitment to comprehensive communications with shareholders is being delivered in a timely fashion. We look forward with excitement to completion of these works," Interim Managing Director George Lucan said.
Meanwhile, Alba Mineral Resources, which owns a 5% stake in PL 235, noted the announcement. Alba shares flat at 0.24p each.
