LONDON (Alliance News) - Angus Energy PLC on Friday said it has submitted an application to the UK Oil & Gas Authority for an extended well test at its Balcombe field discovery in West Sussex.
The Balcombe operation is intended to remove any remaining wellbore and drilling fluids from the well and leave it "ready for extended long term production" before submitting a field development plan to the local planning authority and UK Oil & Gas Authority.
"The local planning authority and community liaison committee shall be consulted in due course to agree a way forward. An update shall follow post consultation," Angus Energy said.
Shares in Angus Energy closed up 3.9% at 5.30 pence on Friday.
