(Alliance News) - Angus Energy PLC on Wednesday said it expects a planning permission case in relation to its Balcombe oil field to be heard before the end of March.
The oil and gas producer needs approval from West Sussex County Council before undertaking more work in the field.
Angus in July said planning permission at the field expired after it informed the council that previous operations at Balcombe were completed.
Angus said Wednesday: "The company has been advised that the application is now likely to be heard before the March 24 planning committee meeting to allow the planning officer to complete their report and make their recommendation having received responses from all consultees."
Shares in the company were 2.0% lower at 0.61 pence each in London on Wednesday morning.
