LONDON (Alliance News) - Anglo Pacific Group PLC on Friday said quarterly production at the Narrabri mine in New South Wales in Australia rose in the second quarter.
Anglo Pacific acquired the royalty rights for Narrabri in March this year and is entitled to royalty income over 100% of the production from the mine from January 1, 2015.
In the second quarter, Whitehaven Coal, the operator of the mine, said the run of mine production was 2.7 million tonnes, up 57% year-on-year. Saleable coal production in the quarter was 2.3 million tonnes.
"We are pleased to see Whitehaven Coal achieve a second consecutive quarterly production record at Narrabri," said Julian Treger, Anglo Pacific's chief executive.
Shares in Anglo Pacific were trading flat at 84.00 pence early Friday.
