(Alliance News) - Anglo African Oil & Gas PLC on Friday announced the departure of Executive Chair David Sefton, who wants to focus on other projects.
Sefton has been "instrumental" in the firm's development since 2016, AAOG said, helping it through its listing in London during 2017 and then successful drilling work on the Tilapia field in the Republic of Congo.
"The board would like to thank David for his hard work over many years in building a successful production and development company and wishes him well in his other ventures," said AAOG.
Non-Executive Director Sarah Cope will become interim non-executive chair, while AAOG looks for a permanent non-executive chair.
Shares in the company were 3.2% lower on Friday morning in London at 3.73 pence each.
On Wednesday, the firm said it has begun re-entry work at Tilapia, ahead of the drilling of a sidetrack well.
