16th Feb 2015 08:53

LONDON (Alliance News) - Medical technology company ANGLE PLC on Monday saw its shares fall in early trade after it launched a discounted share placing to raise GBP7.3 million, along with a further share offer to raise another GBP1.5 million.

The company said it has raised GBP7.3 million via the placing of 10.3 million shares and a subscription for a further 901,000 at 65 pence per share.

Shares in ANGLE were down 12% in early trade to 74.2 pence, one of the worst performers in the AIM All-Share.

In addition to that fundraising, the group has launched a further offer of up to 2.3 million shares at the same price to raise a further GBP1.5 million.

The company also said Monday it has entered a collaboration deal with the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas to investigate the clinical use of ANGLE's Parsotix cell separation system as a companion diagnostic in colorectal cancer.
