LONDON (Alliance News) - Nickel-copper sulphide mineral explorer Amur Minerals Corp on Wednesday said it has received the second set of drilling results from the Flangovy drilling programme in Russia.
Amur said a confirmation drill hole indicates that the discovery on the site has extended the resource at Flangovy by up to 400 metres, adding substantially to the deposit potential of the site.
Infilling drilling has resumed, testing a block of the inferred resource at the site, and results from two of the four holes in this programme have confirmed the continuity of the mineralisation between the more widely-spaced existing drill holes.
"Confirmation that the Flangovy deposit is likely to be at least 400 metres longer should add substantially to the resource inventory of Kun-Manie. With the infill programme underway and results confirming our original drill results, we also look forward to a reclassification of the resource at Flangovy. Here we anticipate a substantial upgrade in our Indicated resource class which means these can potentially be fully converted into reserves suitable for a Definitive Feasibility Study," said Chief Executive Robin Young.
