Amur Minerals Completes Environmental Survey At Kun-Manie, Russia

15th Jan 2020 11:09

(Alliance News) - Exploration firm Amur Minerals Corp on Wednesday said it has completed an environmental assessment at it Kun-Manie, as it prepares for drilling at the Russian nickel-copper sulphide asset.

The base line environmental assessment was approved by Russian regulators and it forms part of the TEO, a Russian feasibility study.

Chief Executive Robin Young said: "Completion of the base line environmental assessment, that is required for inclusion in the TEO, confirms mining of our large scale Kun-Manie nickel copper sulphide deposit will not require any extraordinary programmes or procedures beyond those already planned by the company to undertake the implementation of our operation.

"Typical monitoring and mitigation procedures can be implemented to ensure protection of the environment during construction and operations."

The environmental survey includes an air quality analysis and a study to see if any cultural sites would be impacted by exploration work at the site.

Amur shares were 0.8% higher at 1.94 pence each in London on Wednesday morning.
