LONDON (Alliance News) - Aminex PLC said Monday it has successfully carried out remediation work on the sub-surface safety valve of its Kiliwani North-1 well in Tanzania.
The upstream oil and gas company, which is the operator and owns a 57% interest in the licence, said it gathered "associated pressure and fluid data from the well", during which gas was observed at surface.
Aminex said the well is undergoing further testing and analysis.
Solo Oil PLC, a natural resources investment company, which owns 7.6% of the Kiliwani North development licence said it "looks forward" to receiving further updates.
Shares in Aminex were down 4.4% Monday at 1.46 pence each. Solo Oil was trading down 5.5% at 1.54 pence each.
