LONDON (Alliance News) - Amerisur Resources PLC on Tuesday reported a drop in production in April from its Colombian assets due to some work carried out on its wells.
Total production for April was 173,815 barrels of oil, compared to 200,772 barrels for March. Average daily production came in at 5,794 barrels from 6,476 in the month before.
Peak daily production was 6,363 barrels, compared to a figure of 6,647 barrels in March.
Amerisur attributed the fall in production to surface equipment modifications and workover and treatment works on its Platanillo-11, Platanillo-6, Platanillo-20, and Platanillo-22 wells. It expects the benefits of this work to show through in May.
The total export volume for its OBA export pipeline was 147,691 barrels compared to 171,889 barrels in March.
In mid-April, Amerisur swung to a profit on nearly doubled revenue for 2017, with 2018's focus to be on increasing both exploration activity and overall production.
Shares were down 2.2% on Tuesday at 16.30 pence each.
