LONDON (Alliance News) - Amec Foster Wheeler PLC on Friday said it has won prime contractor position on the Air Force Civil Engineer Center Architect-Engineering 2013 environmental services contract by the US Air Force.
The new contract, which is for seven years, covers the management and execution of design and oversight primarily for environmental projects. This includes planning and programming, restoration, quality (compliance and pollution prevention), and conservation work. Amec will provide services at multiple government locations, it said.
The contract has an aggregate maximum value of USD500 million for the eight awardees and is expected to reach completion by 2023.

Shares in Amec were trading up 7.1% at 464.90 pence on Friday afternoon.
