Ambrian Says Beira Plan Commences Commercial Cement Production

1st Dec 2015 09:45

LONDON (Alliance News) - Ambrian PLC on Tuesday said the Beira cement plant in Mozambique, which is operated by its majority-owned subsidiary, Cimentos de Beira Limitada, is now in commercial production.

The plant is now supplying its cement brand for use in the construction sector and to be distributed at retail outlets in Central Mozambique.

"CdB has received support from retail (bag) and bulk users and continues to pursue its key selling propositions of consistent quality and superior services. Despite entering into the end of the year low season for cement sales, it is expected that brand acceptance and demand will increase significantly as marketing and sales activities intensify," Ambrian said in a statement.

Shares in Ambrian were untraded on Tuesday morning, having last traded at 4.875 pence.
