LONDON (Alliance News) - Gold diggers Amara Mining PLC Tuesday said it has begun trucking material from its Segal Gold Project in Burkina Faso to its neighbouring processing plant at the Kalsaka Gold Mine.
The material from Sega is expected to strengthen production and reduce costs, as a result of the higher grade of the Sega material.
Amara said the average head grade of the Sega material is 2.41 grammes per tonne, compared with 1.13 g/t achieved by the Kalsaka ore in the first half of 2013.
Amara shares were trading at 18.47 pence Tuesday morning, up 0.22 pence, or 1.2%.
