LONDON (Alliance News) - Amara Mining PLC shares were down on Wednesday morning after the company raised GBP14.6 million in a discounted share placing, a higher amount than it said it would raise on Tuesday.
Amara said it has conditionally placed 91.3 million shares at 16 pence per share to raise GBP14.6 million, an increase from the GBP13.2 million the company said it would seek to raise on Tuesday.
Amara shares were down 11% to 16.60 pence on Wednesday morning, one of the worst performers in the AIM All-Share.
The proceeds are to be used to advance its Yaoure gold project in the Ivory Cost to a construction decision.
