LONDON (Alliance News) - Alumasc Group PLC Friday said that its solar shading business Levolux secured a multi-million pound order at Chiswick Park in West London to design and install fully motorised external solar shading on a building.
The building and precision engineering products supplier acquired Levolux, the solar shading company, back in 2007. Its shading products reduce energy costs in new commercial buildings.
Alumsac said that under the deal, Levolux will design and install fully motorised external solar shading at Building 7, which it said is likely to be the final building on the development site at Chiswick Park to be given the go-ahead.
It said that Levolux will begin work in Autumn.
"Levolux has already completed an initial contract for works on this building and the likelihood of follow-on work had already been factored into expectations for the group's next financial year, ending on 30 June 2015," the firm said in a statement.
Alumasc shares were down 0.4% lower Friday morning at 123.50 pence per share.
