(Alliance News) - Altyn PLC on Tuesday announced results from the first independent competent person's report on area 2 at the Teren-Sai gold project, including proved ore reserves of 800,000 ounces.
Shares in Altyn were up 0.3% at 0.55 pence in London in afternoon trading.
Teren-Sai is located adjacent to Altyn's operating Sekisovskoye mine in Kazakhstan. The report includes JORC mineral resources and ore reserve estimates giving total proved ore reserves of 800,000 ounces, being 10.2 million tonnes at an average gold grade of 2.43 grammes of gold per tonne of ore.
The probable ore reserves came in at 650,000 ounces, being 6.23 million tonnes at an average grade of 3.25 grammes of gold per tonne of ore. Measured and indicated resources totalled 1.48 million ounces, or 15.84 million tonnes an an average grade of 2.91 grammes of gold per tonne of ore.
