LONDON (Alliance News) - Alternative Networks PLC Thursday expressed confidence that it had met expectations for the half-year ended March 31, 2013, as it continued to gain market share and integrate its acquisitions ControlCircle and Intercept IT Ltd.

The company intends to propose an interim dividend at least 10% ahead of the previous year as part of its progressive dividend policy. It expects to move this towards 15% in 2015.

At its Advanced Solutions business the company saw orders 25% ahead of the previous year, particularly boosted by Higher Education contracts. Several contracts were signed in the second quarter of the year, and are expected to transition into revenues in the second-half.

In its Mobile Network Services business the company increased its market share, adding 4,300 new subscribers during the half-year. Alternative said that mobile revenues are expected to be up 7% compared to the previous year. It also has 1,500 subscribers waiting to be connected as at March 31, it said.

In Fixed Line Network Services the company continues to transition towards Session Initiation Protocol, meaning conducting communications like voice or video calls over internet networks. This has reduced line rental revenues but overall fixed line revenues remained within expectations.
