Alternative Networks In Line But Trading Mixed Across Divisions

13th Apr 2016 07:42

LONDON (Alliance News) - Business and IT communications services provider Alternative Networks PLC on Wednesday affirmed its expectations for the financial half year to end March despite mixed divisional trading.

The company said its Advanced Solutions unit has delivered robust growth in recurring revenue and ended the first half with a good backlog in place, giving confidence on the second half to September.

Alternative Networks' Mobile business, however, has suffered amid challenging conditions, with the impact of new tariffs on roaming rates offsetting market share gains.

The company said it ended the first half with a number of positive indicators in place for the second, including the order backlog at Advanced Solutions, rising margins in its fixed voice operations and new contract wins for its Online Desktop unit.

Alternative Networks will publish interim results on June 8.

Shares in Alternative Networks were down 4.7% to 347.80 pence.
