(Alliance News) - Alpha Financial Markets Consulting PLC on Thursday said it posted its best financial year in the firm's history as profit surged.
Pretax profit in the year ended March 31 jumped 66% to GBP14.9 million from GBP9.0 million the prior year Revenue grew 61% to GBP158.0 million from GBP98.1 million the year before.
The number of Alpha Financial's clients increased to 718 from 439 the year before, fostering revenue growth alongside the integration of Lionpoint.
The London-based consultancy services to asset and wealth management industry declared a final dividend of 7.50 pence from 4.85p a year ago, putting the total dividend to 10.40 pence from 6.95p.
Looking ahead, in spite of the geological and economic backdrop, Alpha Financial enjoyed strong momentum through the year, which has continued into the 2023 financial year, with a record pipeline of new business, and industry tailwinds underpinning demand.
"This past financial year has been one of the most successful in Alpha's history. Despite the continuing impact of Covid-19, which prolonged the challenges that remote working created for our team, they responded magnificently and continued to deliver excellent results servicing Alpha's clients," said Chief Executive Officer Euan Fraser.
Alpha Financial shares were 3.5% higher at 361.24 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
